I prefer straps that wrap the bar and enhance my natural grip, but as hooks go these are great. I've tested these on 550lb shrugs and they held up well, the large padding distributes the tension on the wrist for minimal discomfort. Easy on/off for quick use (and sharing in the gm). Time will tell how long before they wear out, and these will get a lot of use.

Feel high quality, great deal. They slip a little but I'm pretty big.

I train a client in a wheelchair that had a stroke. He has very little use of his left arm. This works perfectly on the cable machine to strengthen the left arm and back. The wide hook holds his hand open without pinching.
